Ian McNeil: "I never imagined myself ending my senior year as a two-time state champion. It still doesn’t feel real, but I couldn’t be happier with the times I ran. Seeing Coach Whelan and Glennon as excited as I was after winning both races made the experience unforgettable."
History is made in the Div. 4 boys 100-meter dash, as Ian McNeil of Duxbury (@DuxHSAthletics) narrowly edges out Gustavo Varela of Greater Lawrence by .01 ticks to finish with a time of 10.79 seconds.
That is also a new meet record, besting the prior mark set back in 2014 by .06 seconds. @Murray_Jack_
“I’m glad that I’ve been able to break four individual records during my time on the track team. It wouldn’t have been possible without support from my coaches and teammates.”
Ian McNeil: "It’s just an amazing program. All the coaches are so good at their job. All the players are so nice and kind. I’m glad I got to be a part of this program."
Ian McNeil with a first-place finish (6.61) in the 55-meter dash. That ties Lucas Fadden for third place in school history. Closing in on Brody McGrail’s all-time record.

Ian McNeil: “I’m so proud of every single person on the team. Everyone worked so hard in the week leading up to the game and it showed. It wasn’t the result we were looking for, but I’m glad that I could experience such a great season with an amazing team.”

Huge stop on fourth and 1 from the Dragons @GlobeSchools@DuxHSFootball
Every trip to the semifinals carries significance in its own way for the Duxbury football team, but this one meant a little extra because of what the Dragons endured to get there.
They lost three of their first five games, including a heartbreaker against Hingham in mid-October. The season could have easily gone south, but instead — as they so often do — the Dragons grew stronger and saved their best for the tournament: https://t.co/90pLwKIbH9 @GlobeSchools@DuxHSAthletics@DuxHSFootball
Final: Duxbury 38, Burlington 14
The Dragons leave no doubt, cruising past the previously unbeaten Red Devils to advance to their seventh straight semifinal.
Complete effort in all three phases @GlobeSchools@DuxHSAthletics@DuxHSFootball
