@SolaTheAnalyst Trump sees himself as a liberator. We have forests, minerals, hydro, oil, wheat, canola; we should be rich. Only the Liberals' parochial mindset has kept us poor. If we were the 51st state, we'd all be richer in no time.
@NUCLRGOLF absolutely. I stopped playing from the tips years ago, as I didn't have the length. Now that I'm 70, I'm looking forward to playing from the front tees!
@MeghanEMurphy I've talked to a lot of men; it's never the men who aren't interested in sex, only the women. And I say, fine, if you don't want to have sex with me, don't, but don't complain if I get it elsewhere.
@nationalpost Absolutely no one thinks that the Liberal's media slush fund, where they pay half the "journalists" salaries at the Globe, Star, Global, CTV, etc., has anything to do with this. Absolutely no one.
@FollowIncentiv@KRL_defi_ I'm guessing you're young. Look up the Reichmann's and Canary Wharf to see what happens to net worth when illiquidity meets cash flow.
@KRL_defi_ As Warren Buffett is fond of saying, "It's only when the tide goes out that you see who's swimming naked". Their net worth is tied up in illiquid real estate. I suggest people look at the Reichmann's and Canary Wharf to see a similar story writ large.
@ronsterd89 Penny wise, pound foolish. Paper plates are at least C$0.20/each. You can buy new dinner plates for $4.00 each. In a month, you're ahead. Cleaning costs are low; d/w tabs are $0.35, and clean many plates. Soap is even cheaper if you wash by hand.
@AlZeidenfeld Worked at a steak and seafood chain in the 70s. They had adult cooks and dishwashers Mon-Fri, 9-5. All the rest of the time, 12 months of the year, all the jobs were university or high school kids. Same was true for restaurants all over Toronto.
@dr_ed_tate@JacklouisP Worked at a gas station as a teen in the 70s. Call outs for stalled cars in winter = half the time, we'd open the carb up, spray a ton of some volatile crap down it, and have them crank it. Surprising how often it worked!
@ClayTravis K shaped economy. If you've got money in the markets, you're doing great. If you just have a job and a trying to live, you're getting squeezed between falling wages and rising costs and taxes.
@leniboleni2@RampantDaydream@downbadcomment Not really. The marriage contract says the man agrees to forswear all others. If the wife cuts him off, is he supposed to become celibate with no say in the matter? So she owns his sex life? 'cause if he gets any on the side, she gets the house and half his pension. Sounds fair.
@SamRo Correct answer is "D: Don't know". How much are the lottery tickets? If the tickets for A are $20, and the tickets for B are $.01, B wins, hands down.
@Cantrushit You are clearly young. My dad bought a home for C$14800 in 1960, when gold was $35/oz. That's 422 oz of gold. A house down the street sold five years ago for $1m, with gold at $2250/oz. That's 440 oz of gold. 10% increase in gold terms, 570% in $ terms. Our money is worthless.
@valdombre He also said "Muslim values are Canadian values". Muslims hate gays, disregard women, and are violent toward people they disagree with. Are those Canadian values too? Conman Carney talks a lot, but rarely says something important or true.
@FrankfortDarryl In 1961, when my dad bought a home at the very north of Toronto, he was paying a 6 3/4% mortgage. What's this BS that rates are higher today?!? 4.14% in Toronto today.
@FloraLuzz_ Judges who don't respect the law because of their political beliefs have no right to be on the bench anymore. Laws are changed in legislatures by the people, not in courts by judges.
