Feast of St. Anthony
Ecce Crucem Domini,
Fugite, partes adversae,
Vicit Leo de Tribu Juda,
Radix David, alleluia.
Behold the Cross of the Lord!
Flee ye adversaries!
The Lion of the Tribe of Judah,
The Root of David has conquered, alleluia!
Happy anniversary, TVR!
Prayer for Priests
Keep them, I pray Thee dearest Lord,
Keep them for they are Thine -
Thy priests whose lives burn out before
Thy consecrated shrine.
Keep them - Thou knowest, dearest Lord -
The world - the flesh are strong.
And satan spreads a thousand snares
To lead them into wrong.
Keep them for they are in the world,
Though from the world apart;
When earthly pleasures tempt, allure,
Shelter them in Thy heart.
Keep them, and comfort them in hours
Of loneliness and pain,
When all their life of sacrifice
For souls seems but in vain.
Keep them, and O remember, Lord,
They have no one but Thee,
Yet they have only human hearts,
With human frailty.
Keep them as spotless as the Host,
That daily, they caress;
Their every thought and word and deed,
Deign, dearest Lord, to bless.
Amen.

@PrideOfDetroit I’ve been a Lions fan since I can remember (Greg Landry, Charlie Sanders, Lem Barney days) but my two all-time favorite Lions are Chris Spielman and Cory Schlesinger.
@nut_history My aunt and uncle had season tickets down low near third base. Cool thing about those baseball tickets was that 1979 California Surf NASL soccer games were practically free!
@Joeinblack@ToadLilly0704 I just found a “floating” 9/16 in the drawer! I want to believe I am not OCD, but there’s nothing worse than looking for a socket or a ratcheting wrench and it not being in its spot.
