@hammerdan89@stoolpresidente I paused for a second and then remembered Qatar, which honestly only sticks out because of the drama surrounding the selection and because it was in December due to heat, no idea where 2018 was without looking it up

"Any recruit out there that's still thinking about where they're gonna go to school, pick Connecticut."

I am blessed to announce my commitment to UConn to continue my athletic and academic career. I want to thank all of my friends, family and coaches that have helped me get to where I am at today. Thank you too my dad for always pushing me to be better every single day, I wouldn’t be where I am today without him. I want to thank Coach Candle and all of the UConn staff for a great OV! Go Huskies!!

@HiredInMichigan Yeah, the game gets a boost in attendance being the first game, having a nice home schedule helps, especially Week 2 against Maryland; winning games will dictate attendance later on
Labor Day weekend can always make it difficult to predict the crowd and attendance, but with the hiring of new coach Jason Candle and the subsequent hype of a strong transfer class, expect a favorable crowd in comparison previous seasons when the Huskies have faced FCS foes.
As for the game, it may be competitive early on in the first quarter, especially if UConn gets off to a slow start offensively, but expect to the Huskies to pull it out by a margin somewhere around 3 touchdowns.
Lafayette went 8-4 overall and 6-1 in the Patriot league last season. Lone conference loss was to league champion Lehigh. Leopards had FBS losses to Bowling Green and Oregon State. Finished the season ranked #25 in the FCS polls.
