To the new and old followers: Hi, I'm Kevin, CEO @DadsRobotics, a bunch of guys building things.
We're building RoboDog, man's best friend, farm-dog, and watchdog.
I'm always available to answer any questions about RoboDog, software, AI, or Robotics in general.
If you think Robotics = robot + ML + cloud, you are missing the whole problem.
Real-time control, systems engineering, deterministic behaviors, and secure identity are part of building robots that survive.
RoboDog + CortexOS + Auspex are built to solve the real world.
Real Field Deployments = reliability, not back-flipping demos.
Systems break from heat and material physics.
You have to be constantly monitoring CPU/GPU usage, thermal events, and sensor drift.
RoboDog solves this.
Real-time Operating Systems are not optional in Robotics anymore.
If your scheduler doesn’t guarantee bounded latency and low jitter, your control loops will drift, sensors will desync, and your robot breaks in the wild.
We decided to build Cortex-OS to skip all the middle-men.
Robotics Integrations with existing real-word operations is awkward and messy.
RoboDog has a Mesh enabled ATAK service built into our Auspex control platform.
A Mission builder exposes goal states as MCP Tool calls, built a timeline scrubber for real-time Video+Telemetry replay too.
I'll let everyone in on a little secret that'll blow your minds:
Captured Media and telemetry are usually not searchable or actionable past reviewing fat logs.
Solution: Treat media as DB objects: store screenshots, clips, and annotations with the telemetry as vector metadata.
Make them searchable via a live index. This unlocks the full stack Agentic integrations.
You still can't/won't do this properly because skill issues, but cat's out of the bag.
Robotics is a systems design problem. Large companies haven't cracked it because by the time they collect enough expertise, they've ground to a halt burning piles of cash.
It's a skill issue.
Real Roboticists are the modern renaissance man.
You need to be full stack across everything.
I’m alarmed by lax security on edge robotics and the general unrefined state of the whole damn industry. I've been working at this for years and literally everything that's already been invented is missing or being remade 100 times over by bottom tier devs who don't care.
I’m fed up with duplicated data capture pipelines that waste compute and storage.
Everything should be done once, in real time, and then stored.
We have the technology, it's a skill issue boys.
Auspex is going to replace all sorts of Robotics control systems.
I've been working non-stop for months straight to make this platform deployable on as many devices and robots as possible from the get-go.
Going to be the first real general purpose Robot control platform.

unironically heard in conversation today about how much "water" ai is "wasting"
people cannot think for themselves. they see a mainstream "reputable" source take something out of context and repeat it on tiktok in between videos about whatever the fuck
I'm tired of robot stacks that pretend latency concerns are optional. We rebuilt the whole thing to run real-time on the robot. Cortex-OS on RoboDog.
Coming Soon.
