Dear @mariacaulfield.
I just saw the interview on @BBCBreakfast about your suicide prevention strategy. You acknowledge that two thirds of men who take their own life had been in touch with mental health services telling of their intentions. I’ve spent hours with my GP over the last year. Many times in tears, begging for help. I was told, in writing, that despite having suicidal thoughts the NHS won’t offer me any further help and that I should ‘manage’ my condition. I can’t manage. Two further recent referrals from my GP were ignored. He tells me that 10% of patients he refers don’t hear anything from a specialist. This post isn’t intended to be politically motivated, but when I hear you self-congratulate on your ‘achievements’, all I see in reality is people struggling and taking their own lives because the promised improvements and support isn’t there for them.

@seatsixtyone @SimonCalder 3. So much fares knowledge will be lost by staff when they close the offices. The system is complicated and takes a long time to fully learn.

1. Should not have been thought about until ticketing greatly simplified.
2. Tickets machines need to be upgraded so they are easier to operate and to ensure they are serving the customer with correct tickets at the lowest cost available.
