I’m honored to participate in tomorrow’s @WhiteHouse celebration of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with @WHIAANHPI.
During President @BillClinton’s administration, the Dept. of Health and Human Services and the AANHPI communities worked together to improve lives and increase participation in federal programs. Those efforts were formalized in 1999, when President Clinton established the White House Initiative and President’s Advisory Commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, which was located in @HHSGOV.
I’m proud to be a part of the Clinton administration’s legacy of leadership supporting and engaging with AANHPI communities across the country. #AANHPIHM
