@NickMilo Evernote's web clipper is really still the best I have seen so far.
Also, the search function is pretty fast.
I'm using Evernote mainly as my "antilibrary" for capturing and keeping internet sources.
Sometimes, I use it as a quick workstation.
@maheenEcommerce Yes, perfectionism is often procrastination in disguise.
๐น"I'm not ready yet. / I need to read more books/get more knowledge etc."
= Procrastinates on starting
๐น"I can't deliver this like that / This is not good enough yet etc."
= Procrastinates on finishing
Did you know that the Arabian language has at least 11 different words to express "love"?
Some sources even say there are way more than that!
Every meaning describes love on a different level and is used in a different context.
Isn't that marvelous?
"The limits of my language mean the limits of my world." - Ludwig Wittgenstein
Often, we describe complex emotions with simple words, like "happy" or "sad".
By increasing our vocabulary, we're also getting better at articulating our feelings more precisely.
See examples ๐
Don't just say "happy" when you actually feel "delighted" or maybe even "overjoyed".
Don't just say "scared" when you were in fact "petrified".
Don't just say "sad" when "disconsolate" is closer to the truth.
Don't say the movie was "boring" when you really mean "plodding".
@HudsonRennie So my headline today would be:
"An interesting idea for journaling! ๐"
I have morning and evening prompts.
One of my morning questions is:
"What is stopping me from thinking clearly right now?"
(basically, a brain dump to get stuff out of my head, so I can focus)
@HudsonRennie Nice, I love it!
I usually write headlines only for something I call "Life Stories" which are certain events or reflections in my life. Giving them a title helps me remember them better.
Didn't have the idea to try that for daily journaling.
Thank you for the inspiration!
@garyhgoodridge One of the biggest boosts for my productivity was turning off phone notifications at certain times of the day.
So simple, yet so effective.
@NickMilo Someone who's teaching and guiding you through the tools you need to teach yourself.
The highest goal of a great teacher is not to be needed anymore.
It takes a lot of courage, which is my almost nobody does that.
You might not like some answers, but donโt get defensive.
Instead, thank them for their honesty and for helping you grow.
If you want to speed up your personal growth, do this:๐
Ask 5 people close to you
โWhat do you think I need to work on?โ
If you hear overlapping answers, youโll know exactly where you can improve.
@thedankoe True! We should filter any new task or responsibility we are considering to take on through the question:
Does this bring me any closer to my goals?
@HudsonRennie@hubermanlab@snipd_app That's true, but they're also super interesting! ๐
The episodes are also quite long sometimes so I listen to them usually not in one go but over several days.
There is one thing that is often overlooked when it comes to goal setting:
Making plans for dealing with possible obstacles already beforehand!
Great example here ๐
3min highlight from the @hubermanlab podcast which I created with @snipd_app

@HudsonRennie Looks awesome! Love the minimalist style and the window right behind the desk.
And what kind of chair is that? ๐ง
I would describe my workspace as functional ๐
