The video went live on Facebook on 26 April 2026 (yesterday).

Within hours, Kolkata Police confirmed his identity and suspended him specifically for these repeated social-media statements.

Several X users are already calling for his protection, indicating the clip has gone viral and triggered an immediate departmental response.

This is not a deepfake, old footage, or impersonation. It is a serving (now suspended) armed police constable speaking on record. The length (23+ minutes) and the fact that the department itself has acted on it further confirm it is genuine.

Kolkata Armed Police is part of the West Bengal police structure (under the state government).

Such open political speech by a uniformed officer is a serious breach of service rules, which is exactly why suspension followed so quickly.

The content is highly charged and aligns with long-running communal narratives in Bengal politics, but the speaker’s identity and the police action are now public record.
