MULTIPLE-CAR CRASH CAUSES GRIDLOCK ON KUBWA EXPRESSWAY
The Kubwa Expressway in Abuja is experiencing severe traffic congestion following a multiple-car accident at Dawaki Junction.
The crash has reportedly obstructed both lanes of the highway leading towards Kubwa, causing traffic to build up for several kilometres
I have watched Yusuf Aliyu’s video repeatedly, and each time, my heart breaks.
A child with such intelligence, clarity and confidence should be in a classroom building his future—not struggling for survival in a community surrounded by gold but buried in poverty.
I cannot look at him and see an “illegal miner.” I see a Nigerian child failed by the country that should have protected him. I see brilliance trapped by poverty and enormous promise abandoned by leadership.
I appeal specifically for his safety. His courage must not expose him or his family to intimidation or retaliation. I am prepared to support his education and ensure that the brilliance we have witnessed is not buried by poverty. Any effort to reach him must be handled responsibly through his family and appropriate child-protection channels.
But this video raises a question that should trouble the conscience of every Nigerian: how can a community sitting upon gold remain so poor that it cannot educate its children? How can its wealth leave the soil while hunger and deprivation remain in its homes?
This is an indictment of the Tinubu administration. The Federal Government controls Nigeria’s mineral resources, yet the communities producing that wealth remain without schools, opportunities or protection.
The contrast is revealing. President Buhari established PAGMI to register, train and integrate artisanal miners into the formal economy, with Niger State included among its intervention states. Tinubu inherited that framework but has met these vulnerable citizens with raids, detention and the label “illegal miners.”
Buhari saw people to formalise. Tinubu sees poor people to criminalise.
This boy is evidence against the Tinubu government. His intelligence exposes the opportunities it has failed to provide. His poverty exposes the injustice of Nigeria’s mining economy. His presence at that site exposes an administration that has left brilliant children without a ladder out of deprivation.
The government must explain what became of PAGMI in Niger State and how 37 Nigerians died in the custody of a federal agency. Calling them “illegal miners” cannot erase their humanity or excuse their deaths.
As a father, a grandfather and a Nigerian, I refuse to look away. I will continue to speak for these children because their lives matter, their dreams matter and their future belongs to Nigeria.
The gold beneath their community should build classrooms and livelihoods, not graves. —AA
BREAKING NEWS: FORBES REVALUES DANGOTE'S WEALTH TO $51 BILLION, ADDING ABOUT $20 BILLION IN ONE MOVE, MAKING HIM THE 36TH RICHEST PERSON IN THE WORLD 🌍 🎉 💵
I am deeply disturbed by the attack on the convoy of our presidential candidate, Peter Obi, as he travelled to Benue State.
The deliberate mobilisation of unruly elements to block and attack his convoy and prevent him from entering Makurdi marks another dark day for our democracy.
Authorities must remember that the Constitution guarantees every citizen the right to freedom of movement. This right applies even more strongly to Mr Obi, a former governor and leading opposition figure.
The Benue State Government must, as a matter of urgency, ensure that those responsible are swiftly identified and prosecuted. It must also guarantee the safety and free movement of our candidate and his entourage.
I further urge the President to caution state governors, particularly those in his party against any actions that could undermine the sanctity of our democracy.
I also call on the international community, including diplomatic missions and election observation groups, to take note of this incident and to urge Nigerian authorities to uphold the rule of law, protect opposition leaders, and safeguard democratic freedoms. - RMK
For clearance: he did not later drop the 100m before the fight, he said 100m was too much. One of my friends staked 20m we asked him to stake his he said he will after the match.
We push for him to drop the 100m he refused 🤷♂️
If you’re on live you can testify. So money was not involved.

Habby Caught Early as Ahmed Capitalizes on Opening
Habby appeared to expect a different approach from Ahmed and left an opening early in the fight, which Ahmed quickly capitalized on.
The early exchange suggested Habby may not have taken the challenge as seriously as expected, giving Ahmed the opportunity to gain an advantage from the start.
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un.
I am deeply saddened by the passing of His Royal Highness, the Emir of Gumel, Alhaji (Dr.) Ahmad Muhammad Sani II.
We shall always remember His Highness as a distinguished and far-sighted leader who guided the Gumel Emirate to remarkable heights over 45 years of dedicated service.

If you don’t travel the world, you’ll think this behavior is backward, but that’s the fun of it. I’ve seen children play at squares with water fountains like this in many different countries. That’s the point.
