अगर उत्तर प्रदेश विधानसभा में अध्यक्ष की कुर्सी पर बैठे सतीश महाना यह कहें कि "जिन्होंने राम मंदिर का विरोध किया, अगर उन्होंने चंदा दिया है तो रसीद दिखाएँ, तब देखेंगे कि उनका पैसा चोरी हुआ या नहीं," तो सवाल सिर्फ़ एक बयान का नहीं, बल्कि विधानसभा की गरिमा का है।

क्या अब कोई चुनी हुई विधानसभा का सदस्य अपनी आस्था के आधार पर चोरी को चोरी भी नहीं कह सकता? क्या अब हत्या को हत्या, डकैती को डकैती कहने से पहले लोगों को अपने मज़हब का हलफ़नामा देना होगा?

फिर यही उसूल वक़्फ़ बोर्डों पर क्यों लागू नहीं होता, जहाँ ग़ैर-मुस्लिमों को ज़बरन शामिल किया जाता है? हिन्दू एंडोमेंट बोर्डों को मिलने वाली संवैधानिक सुरक्षा औक़ाफ़ को क्यों न���ीं? और जिस पार्टी का लोकसभा में एक भी मुस्लिम सांसद नहीं है, उसे तीन तलाक़ जैसे असंवैधानिक क़ानून (जो सिर्फ़ मुसलमानों से जुड़ा है) बनाने का अधिकार कैसे मिल जाता है?

अगर उसूल एक है, तो सब पर बराबर लागू होना चाहिए।

The Sanjauli Mosque issue clearly shows that in the Congress-ruled state of Himachal, the shop of love is not available for Muslims.

The court's order stands on its own—
but the Congress government has
• stopped prayers
• cut off water and electricity
• and instead of taking action against unknown elements, they are withdrawing cases against them.

The party that has been proclaiming itself as the flag-bearer of secularism for 70 years is now targeting a mosque in this manner under its rule.
If this isn't double standards, then what is?

सूडान के इमाम का ये बयान दरअसल संयुक्त अरब अमीरात (UAE) के राष्ट्रपति मोहम्मद बिन ज़ायद की नीतियों के विरोध में आया है।
