What a convoluted, silly ‘solution’ to Pakistan’s man-made Governance crisis: destabilising Pakistan from within by creating new provinces at a time when 3 out of our 6 regions/provinces are already in turmoil! Creating new provinces is RECIPE FOR DISASTER as it’ll weaken the Federation & bankrupt an already fragile Economy! Fixing Governance is no rocket science. For starters, any system is as good as the people running it. Ours is a corrupt Sifarshi Culture System, based on Cronyism, NOT Merit. If rulers are serious about reform, they just need guts to do 2 things: Merit-based inductions/appointments/promotions & genuine devolution of decision-making & authority from the centre/provinces to elected local governments!

Orange line subsidy is just 5B. PIA loss was often ten times that. Orange subsidy is for poor or middle class. PIA flew upper middle class elites. Orange train carries 230,000 people a day, over 80 million a year. PIA barely flies 3 million these days. So the subsidy per person is over 300 times less for Orange Train.
