@azormx @mossmouth Right? To do this you either have to eat the loss and treat your rosaries as gone (with the cocoon remaining on the map as reminder of your failure) or you are expected to trek right up to the boss arena and then just... turn around.

@PanasonicDX4500 No, he KNOWS when you're sleeping and when you're awake - he's all knowing and could easily skip past your house if he takes notice of your behavior. It would only save him time, too, since he was already planning to visit. He keeps extra pieces of coal to account for it.

Nintendo states that Super Mario has now reached the stage where his presence is fully established before it is introduced, making him the only character to finalize that included while still being central to the features that were removed. This really positions Mario at the intersection that operate functioning and designs that function without operating.
