What next for @Cockroachisback - electoral politics or remain and build as a pressure group? I ask @AshutoshRanka - key face of the CJP, an IIT & LSE Graduate who was one of 2 negotiators with the Modi government. Must watch conversation in full here https://t.co/gJIk8fpAmx

As @Wangchuk66 is hospitalised on Day 21 of his fast against the Education Minister I argue that the protests of the last month by the @CJP_2029 cannot be seen through a conventional political lens. They capture the zeitgeist of the time in a country where 320 million Indians are between 18 and 29 making up 22 percent of India. And as the movement became an Instagram Trend, powered by the digital natives of Gen Z; even those who never speak on public issues weighed in, wanting to be on the right side of public sentiment. The government will lose no authority and only enhance its own credibility if it speaks to Wangchuk and team, because even if they lack the wherewithal to win elections - and maybe precisely because of that - in them young Indians see people speaking for them and their anxious futures. Tell me if you agree. You can also read the column on its web page @htTweets https://t.co/PV25BeNqSF
