@ElvenTower I've been using minions for at least a decade plus. Especially in boss type encounters. In my current campaign it's a central mechanic to a major aspect of the story. 4E was actually a really cool iteration of d&D. It had some flaws sure, but every version of D&D has some issue.

@KAMbot1138 It is, not in the sense that all Universes Beyond release does gangbusters, but look at their earnings report, it's a massive overall success, otherwise they wouldn't be doing it. Brand dilution was long disproven by people in the industry. Product fatigue is way more of an issue

@KAMbot1138 The idea is not to do universes beyond every "season" as mtg does. According to Ayoub, the idea is to do only ones they think will work and can sell. Star Wars and Warcraft are easy money. Other good ones would be Marvel and Final Fantasy, and MtG can serve as a decent gauge.

@spacejohnston76 It's one piece of art. It's possible Brom is doing art for it since they hired him to do art for Death Saves. D&D uses multiple artists now for everything.

@A_DungeonDelver Only if you're a Twitter tourist. Those of us that actually care and have played since the late 70's/early 80's are happy to see the settings like Dragonlance and Dark Sun be brought back to life. I don't agree with every choice they make, but I keep and use what I want.

@CorpseKings I watched the trailer and some of what people think is metal I think is actually carapace armor, there is also (as there should be) alot of bone being used.

@SandyofCthulhu I can tell you that if you've read any of the forwards in Gary's published editions he makes it clear. It wasn't just for people who liked the same things he liked. The tourists are those who think Gary would only want D&D to be for people with the same political ideas he had.

@KenobiStig @conan_esq He's doing art for Death Saves so clearly he's not blacklisted from WotC. I think he'll have a few pieces in there just like the Dragonlance book will likely have some Elmore art. But it's not gonna be all one artist, they spread the love.

@KenobiStig @conan_esq Look I love Priest, and I got no issue with the art that Brom was famous for, but I do think it's funny that people look at his art and think THAT is not skewing a little gay. And I also wouldn't say it means Brom isn't involved. We've seen like 3 pieces of art.

@Steel_Accord91 @GrampsToolshed That's a pretty idiotic take for what was widely considered to be a banger of a show. Even if you don't love it all (kinda meh on the Greyhawk stuff personally. I know it was Gary's home setting but I always found it pretty unremarkable) there was stuff for everyone.

Man I'll tell ya when Tracy Hickman got up there and gave his fantastic speech about the history of Dragonlance and wanting to cement that legacy and bring it back home for all D&D players to enjoy. Well that got me. #Dragonlance

@CasperN70602 @ShitpostRock You've obviously never played Palworld. It has no evolves, and it's not a rpg or shooter. It's closer to ARK (survival crafter) than anything you mentioned.
