After being a loyal user of @Telecom_Namibia@TelecomNamibia products since 2009, this past week has shown me how unreliable this company is. They are just refusing to evolve or grow with time. It's useless like useless. You have all products but your service sucks.
@NedbankNam it's really sad to see that the bank refuses to grow. How do you just have one ATM machine in Rundu when this is one of the fastest growing town with a huge population.
Now one has to stand in lines forever and you want customers. Your neighbors have ATM's everywhere
Very soon @WorldAthletics will spoil woman sprinting as they have done in the past as the new kid on the block @JulienAlfred of Saint Lucian might be subjected to numerous tests as they have done in the past with others.
3 @The_Safja soldiers, hearts full of wanderlust, traversed a West African nation to experience the electrifying energy of #AFCON2023.
But what truly set us apart was our unwavering dedication to follow @BafanaBafana.
As the only team that played in every AFCON stadium in Côte d’Ivoire 🇨🇮, Bafana led us on a whirlwind tour, each city revealing a new facet of the vibrant host nation.
We soaked it all in, our senses overloaded with the sights, sounds and rhythms of a culture we were discovering firsthand.
Every stadium, every city, we were there, chronicling the team's journey and experiencing the electric atmosphere firsthand.
The journey started in Abidjan, the economic capital, which had the privilege of housing 2 stadiums.
We then went to Korhogo, a town located in the North, near the border with Mali and Burkina Faso, where Bafana played their group matches. @superjourno called us the Korhogo gang 😂. Thereafter, we went to San Pédro, a seaside resort located in the southwest Côte d’Ivoire, where Bafana memorably humbled Morocco 🇲🇦.
And then it was Yamoussoukro, the political capital, where we met Cape Verde 🇨🇻. We didn’t see what you guys saw on TV unfortunately 🫣. Bouaké, a former rebel stronghold, was our semi-final stop, before we returned to Abidjan for the bronze medal match.
That bone-rattling 9-hour bus ride filled with laughter, camaraderie and the shared love for the beautiful game.
The camaraderie forged over steaming plates of attieke, aloco and chicken (hahaha I’m the only one who tasted beef in Ivory Coast 🇨🇮 and it was terrible 🤦🏾♂️. It was always chicken & fish throughout). The laughter echoing in budget-friendly accommodations (San Pedro hotel was the worst - we were duped by a diplomat we trusted - story for another day).
Nonetheless, that dingy hotel was not just a place to rest, but a space to forge an unbreakable bond.
At some point, I guess we ceased to be just colleagues; but we became a band of brothers. @romytitus, the Bafana media officer, called us the 3 musketeers 😀. Fittingly so!
The dedication I saw from these gentlemen @Velile_Mnyandu & @Lorenz_KO was unparalleled. Late nights working just to send content back home. Sometimes working all night until 7AM, resting a few hours and attending a MD-1 presser at 11AM.
I’d be disingenuous if I don’t mention my 4 @FARPostZA colleagues Tokelo Mokhesi (I call him starman - what a guy), @Sinethembah_, @RaophalaM and Courtney Ellis for always making my work easy.
But beyond the professional pursuit, something extraordinary blossomed. We shared not just content, but experiences, advice and unwavering support. Oh, we also shared medication because each one of us had flu at some point. Thanks to Romy for organising that concoction that got me up and running in under 24 hours. Magical.
The advice, especially from chairman, who was doing his umpteenth AFCON, made the challenges easier and the victories sweeter. I remember on our second day, frustrated as we waited for our accreditation. He says “gents, this is AFCON, take it easy - one day at a time”. Chairman must just be a coach 😂, iCV ayilambanga 😀.
Hahaha how do I even forget the skaftin from Romy and the cake 🍰 from @SinesiphoMali 😝 in San Pedro.
This wasn't just about reporting on a football tournament; it was about embracing the unknown, pushing their limits and discovering the magic that happens when hearts open and cultures collide. Our journey was a testament to the power of shared experiences, the beauty of human connection and the transformative spirit of adventure.
I saw our strengths complementing each other to paint a vivid picture of the tournament. Thanks to all the help from Bafana’s team manager @tseka_vincent. This man doesn't just manage the team, he embodies the very essence of what it means to be South African, heart and soul.
I’ve no doubt it's a story that will stay with us forever…

@dube_mthoko We have few hours before the big moment... First time going out of the group stages loading. Tunisia gave us our first win and our brothers will give us our first round of 16 ticket.
My Namibian 🇳🇦 journo pal @Khesron thinks they've got Bafana wrapped around their little finger. But he’s in for a shock tomorrow !

Tea is dangerous. Last night I had 8 beers until 3am at Phat Boys while my wife was having tea at home. You should have seen how violent and angry she was when I got home. I was peaceful and silent and headed to bed as she kept on shouting at me until morning. Tea is dangerous!
So #DStv is taking its subscribers for a fool currently watching #FishorDie and they have the guts to put a new episode disclaimer on a show I watched last year on the same channel shame on you guys... @MultiChoiceGRP#Namibia
WE ARE CAMPING:
