@2sush Naive question anybody working in AI would say lets talk about next couple of years. 5 years is too far into the future. Others who are answering they themselves dont know.
@bindureddy You should understand that bad actors can create any weapon. AI can develop better than 100 scientist together much faster. Many 1000s of experiments can be performed out of which one success can create a bio weapon or new way to kill a race.
@Bhavani_00007 They wont stop. They will not release to the public. They want to stop chinease distillation. Thats why all US companies are aligned and also US govt is involved in this.
Their main aim is to stop distillation. They will not release models but will be developing in the backend and once they know distillation can be stopped they will throw them on us.
I agree with Dario that we need to pace the frontier. This has been a primary topic of discussions we've had at OpenAI in recent weeks.
Committing to having independent evaluators with employee-like access is a great idea, and we will do the same. We'll have more to share soon.
Google has (allegedly) achieved RSI.
It’s a bigger deal than another model release.
RSI = recursive self-improvement.
The idea is an AI system helping build, train, or improve the next version of itself, and that loop repeating so each generation accelerates the one after it.
There is a difference between the weak version and the wild version. Weak RSI is already normal: AI writing code for AI infra, automated architecture search, Google’s own AlphaEvolve finding faster algorithms. Humans still review everything.
A stronger version is also happening at the big labs right now, just with less public detail: Anthropic has said Claude writes a large chunk of its own new code, Tibo said Astra helps shipping next things at OpenAI. Still human-gated at important decisions.
If this is true, model cycles that used to take years could take weeks. Google will be so back!
We Must Pace the Frontier: I’ve written a new essay on why the AI industry should slow down, with a three-part plan for doing so.
Anthropic is unilaterally committing to the first of these steps. We’ll provide third-party evaluators with permanent, employee-level access to our systems, so that they can verify adherence to our safety measures, report on incidents, and assess models’ alignment during training.

We will enter into a world where AI will be the new nuclear or nuclear + AI under military will be the new power factor. We will use AI with less reasoning as general public. Powerful reasoning will be only for military. Hiroshima is inevitable nd post that this might b d order.
We're publishing our most detailed threat intelligence report to date.
It covers how people tried to misuse Claude—for cyberattacks, influence operations, surveillance, biology, and building weapons—and how we found and stopped them.
We disrupted every operation in the report, and used the lessons from them to strengthen our safeguards. Where appropriate, we also shared what we found with authorities and other AI companies.
These cases are not typical: we’re highlighting some of the most sophisticated misuse we’ve seen. But they’re especially important to discuss, because they show us where AI misuse is headed, where our safeguards work, and where they need to improve.
We’re publishing this report so others can spot the same activity on their own platforms, and so we can give the public a clearer view of how emerging threats develop.

@aravind It can be possible if we have IOT and car to car communication and only when mandatorily enabled for every car. Ofcourse fallback of IR sensor would work. I don't think it will be possible by 2028.
Rajamouli acheived that scale 11 years back and I feel he deserves all the appreciation which he gets. If he makes Mahabharatham I know for sure it would be out of our imagination.
I still feel we are too distant from doing justice to Ramayana. Its too early to judge but I feel we need the scene writing of Bhansali and direction of Rajamouli. I want to see the much layered approach. Actors are as good as their script & directors.
