The amount of people this helps rehabilitate is far greater than the people who you think abuse it.

The majority of shelters give you 30 days to acquire a job before they boot you. The OP quoted has a job.

@Z1goter @CanuckObserver It's shelter, not housing. Most are full, and if you manage to get in, most require you to look for and obtain a job in order to stay.

Most sheltered homeless are working and doing their part, they aren't privileged or being bums. Recreational time in between shifts is fine.
