Today I sent a letter to President @realDonaldTrump asking him to speak with @NYCMayor about the unfair treatment of city workers who have still not been reinstated to their positions because of the COVID-19 vaccine mandate.

Enough is enough.

There have been multiple court cases now ruling in favor of individual fired employees, yet the city STILL appeals every single decision. It's ridiculous.

With every appeal, the clock resets and uncertainty returns to these workers who've been unjustly stripped of their livelihood. How much longer is this going to go on for? We cannot just say 'this has to play out in the courts' when the city is the one dragging the appeals out endlessly.

It's LONG PAST TIME for us to put the shameful legacy of our botched Covid response behind us, and do the right thing by our workers -- reinstate and compensate.

The unfortunate reality is that there are STILL a contingent in our city government and within the base of the Democrat monopoly who not only believe mass-firing the unvaccinated was completely justified, but remains so. These are poisonous misanthropic ideologues and they should be ignored. To them, vaccine refusal became a political filter and they're perfectly happy for it to continue. I have to think at least some of that attitude is driving these appeals.

And this is ignoring the COUNTLESS examples of hypocrisy, lawbreaking, and outright lying that have come to light on the part of the tyrants who pushed these ridiculous restrictions to begin with. It was a sham. And we should not still be playing this game.

It's absolutely ridiculous that FIVE YEARS LATER we're still having this fight. Enough. Mayor Adams knows what the right thing to do is. It's time we just do it.
