熊本地震で被災された皆様へ心よりお見舞い申し上げます。また、世界中から名古屋工業大学「インスタントハウス基金」へ多大なるご寄付を賜り、深く感謝申し上げます。
現在、被災地からの設置要請は300棟を超えました。皆様の支援を力に、今後は毎週数十棟単位で被災地へお届けしてまいります。
地震と酷暑の二重災害の中、発災から10日を過ぎ、災害関連の不調が増える時期に入りました。被災による心身への負担は計り知れません。だからこそ私たちは、国際基準「スフィアスタンダーズ」に沿った、安全で尊厳の守られる住環境を提供し、「救える命を確実に救う」「自然災害で命を落とす人がゼロの未来」を一日でも早く実現する義務があると感じています。
「インスタントハウス」という名前には、数時間で建つ「即席（Instant）」という意味に加え、語源である「寄り添う（Distanceの対義）」という強い想いが込められています。

🙏🙏Delivering Instant Houses by the dozens every week🙏🙏

We extend our deepest sympathies to everyone affected by the Kumamoto earthquake. We also express our profound gratitude for the generous donations from around the world to the Nagoya Institute of Technology's Instant House Fund.
Currently, we have received over 300 installation requests. Powered by your support, we will now begin delivering Instant Houses to the disaster areas by the dozens each week.
Survivors face a harsh double disaster of the earthquake and extreme heat. As we pass the 10-day mark, disaster-related illnesses are increasing. Recognizing the immense physical and mental toll of displacement, we know there is a limit to human endurance.
That is why we are working to realize safe, dignified living environments in accordance with the "Sphere Standards." Under these severe conditions, "reliably saving the lives that can be saved" and creating a future with "zero lives lost to natural disasters" is not just our mission, but our duty.
The name "Instant House" reflects not only that it can be built in hours, but also draws from the word’s ancient roots meaning "to stay close" (standing near, the antonym of distance).
We will do our absolute best to stay close to the hearts of those affected, striving to deliver sturdy and comfortable living spaces as quickly as possible. We humbly ask for your continued support🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️

インスタントハウス in 氷川町✊✊

ほんの数秒、数分の間に、世界は時々、理不尽なほど容赦なく、思い出がいっぱい詰まったおうちも、大切にしてきたぬくもりも、すべてをひったくっていく。
自然の怒りを止める術を、私たち人間はまだもっていません。
今、熊本地震で震度7を記録した氷川町にいます。
崩れてしまったご自宅の前で、あるいは、窮屈な車の中で、じっと夜を越えている人たちがいます。
日本に住む人たちのその我慢強いメンタリティは本当に美しくて、でも、今はそれがたまらなく痛い。
こんなに狂おしいほどの暑さの中で、もうこれ以上、我慢なんてしない社会であってほしい。
心と体が悲鳴を上げて限界を迎えてしまう前に、未然に防げる悲しみは、全部私たちが先回りして食い止めたい。
数秒で日常を奪い去っていく、圧倒的なスピード。
だったら、せめて私たち人間は、それが奪っていくのと同じスピードで『差し出せる手』をもっていなきゃいけない。
そうじゃないと、あまりにも割に合わないじゃないか。
ここ最近、甚大な被災地や戦災紛争地を駆け抜ける中で、その想いはもう、私の中で揺るぎない確信に変わりました。
外の景色がどれだけ理不尽な運命に満ちていても。
このインスタントハウスの中だけは、私たちの手で優しく、確かにコントロールできる。
たったそれだけの、小さな小さな事実。
でも、運命に思いきり突き飛ばされた人たちにとって、
その小さな空間がどれほどの安心と、明日への呼吸になるか。
今はまだ、建築が自然に勝てるだなんて思ってないけど、これは、このどうしようもない世界に対する、私たちなりの、精一杯の抵抗であり、祈りなのです。
一時間でも、一日でも早く。
おひとりでも多くの被災者の皆様の心と身体が、ふっと息を吐ける場所を届けるために。
今日も限界までアクセルをベタ踏みにして、走ります！

Instant House in Hikawa Town✊✊

In just a few seconds, a few minutes in the blink of a god's eye, the world sometimes, ruthlessly and unreasonably, snatches away everything. Homes overflowing with memories, the precious warmth we've cherished... all of it.
We humans do not yet possess the magic to stop the fury of nature.
Right now, I am in Hikawa Town, a place that recorded a devastating seismic intensity of 7 during the Kumamoto Earthquake.
There are people silently enduring the night right in front of their collapsed homes, or squeezed into cramped cars.
The resilient, patient mentality of the people living in Japan is truly beautiful, but right now, it is unbearably painful to witness.
In this maddening heat, I long for a society where no one has to just "endure" anymore.
Before their minds and bodies scream out and reach their breaking points, we want to stay one step ahead and stop all the tragedies that can be prevented.
The overwhelming speed that strips away our everyday life in mere seconds.
If that's how it is, then at the very least, we humans must have a "hand to reach out" at that exact same speed.
Otherwise, it’s just too unfair, isn't it?
Lately, as I’ve rushed through severely devastated disaster areas and war-torn zones, that initial thought has solidified into an absolute, unshakable conviction within me.
No matter how deeply the world outside is stained with an unreasonable fate.
Inside this Instant House and only here, we can gently, surely control the environment with our own hands.
It is just a single, tiny fact.
But for those who have been violently shoved off their feet by fate, imagine how much comfort, how much breath for tomorrow, that small space can bring.
I don't yet believe that architecture can defeat nature. But this is our utmost resistance, our desperate prayer against a world we cannot always control.
Even an hour, even a day sooner.
To deliver a place where the minds and bodies of as many survivors as possible can finally let out a long sigh of relief.
Today, once again, I’ll floor the accelerator to the absolute limit and keep running!
