@who28621@FoulTerritoryTV@ajpierzynski12@ErikKratz31 I never said it's because they're watching some future all star develop. I said they attend minor league baseball games and you're advocating to strip 60 cities of that.
@who28621@FoulTerritoryTV@ajpierzynski12@ErikKratz31 Nobody watches minor league baseball yet they get 1-3k every game. Lots of people do attend minor league baseball games. You're talking about eliminating pro baseball from 60 cities in America.
@juvelibertarian@FuckBeale@ettingermentum Messi was great in all the CL finals he was in. Ronaldo wasn't good in 09, and 3 of the 4 CL finals Madrid were in. He was good in 2008 and 1 of the 4 CL finals. Ronaldo was really good in the quarters and Semis, which are important too.
@toaeroplano@ettingermentum That's because the scoring difference is marginal, but Messi was always the obviously better player because he also assisted at a much higher rate, and was the better dribbler. It would be like MJ with Magic Johnson level passing vs reality MJ.
@JonPatt944@ThingBeak@Master_Debunker@misstreemannz That's an easy tell for identifying yourself as an American. They consider them Asian colloquially in Britain. They still retain Oriental for East Asians. Very different from how Asian is used in America.
@RealFoxDaddy@justathr0waway_@FOXSoccer It's literally right there. Players can legally score with the shoulder, hence it's offside. Anything you can legally score with can't be offside. That's been a rule forever.
@Threepea851@msalas24 They've been doing Laker bobbleheads for a while now. They had a Kobe one last year, a LeBron one in 2023, and Magic had two from 2013-2014.
@jjust_boredd@InfiniteDodger Yeah I see Freddie. Soto and Yordan are in that career OPS+ of 160-165, while Freddie is at 142. He has good baserunning instincts despite his speed like Freddie too. The only thing is, Freddie was a good defender at 1B. He likely is not that. I would take an LF Freddie bat!
@Susan_M_J@AOC Employers are sick of having to provide the healthcare negotiations. Let the government negotiate on behalf of Americans. It cuts the bureaucracy substantially.
@united_sa0509@CFCErm@ConnCFC There is no system in the US like how Mainoo played for a local youth club, got scouted by United, and joined United at age 9. To join a youth club, you have to pay money.
@united_sa0509@CFCErm@ConnCFC Pay to play is the phrase used when describing organized football. Not really about individuals practicing on their own or with buddies. So they don't get tested against other talented players and must resort to dads putting in minimal effort in coaching.
@united_sa0509@CFCErm@ConnCFC Because of this, clubs all over the world view kids as investments that could save them millions in 13 years. In the US, you have to pay money to have access to good coaching because clubs don't directly benefit from developing you.
@united_sa0509@CFCErm@ConnCFC Draft system is the cause of this. United can have a youth team and have a player like Mainoo come up the ranks and star for the men's team. In the US, even if you develop the player, they go to a draft where any club can draft him. So the same incentive doesn't exist.
@RchardsonBen@CFCErm@ConnCFC Because of the development system in the US (travel ball - high school - college - draft system), kids aren't viewed as investments. In all parts of the world, they're viewed as investments so money doesn't factor in. Teams pay your family for your talent. US, the opposite.
@InfiniteDodger One thing to note is that Ohtani known for changing his bat specifications from year to year so bat speed might not be a good judge of his actual bat speed over this 4 season period. I believe his 2025 bat was longer than his 2024 bat.
