Mistrials happen and juries sometimes need to be picked a second time. The jury also might not get sequestered and so releasing footage introduced the possibility that they see or hear about evidence outside of the courtroom.

Many defendants have tried to claim that video of their arrest/crime being posted online has made it impossible to find an unbiased jury.

They don't usually succeed, it's fair to avoid.
