@Joshua_WD It transcribes the video and since text is linked with the frames it actually pulls certain frames (number of frames vary depending on the video length) and if there is a mention of steps it will pull those specific frames🧃

Free, MIT licensed, and the basic mode needs no API key. Most simple apps don't need a subscription. If you can show an agent what you saw, you can often build it in a day.

So I built ReelPrompt, an open-source MCP server. Paste a reel, X video, YouTube Short or a video file, and it:
→ transcribes locally
→ picks the key frames
→ pulls the caption
→ hands it all to Claude Code, Codex, Cursor
