Kidlit for Christchurch

Kidlit authors teaming up to raise funds for the victims of the New Zealand mosque attacks and their families.

[Kidlit for Christchurch @KidlitForCC]

We are overjoyed to announce the total amount raised for the #Christchurch families: 43,017.38 NZD!!! (That's about $28,903.16 in USD!)

From the bottom of all of our hearts: THANK YOU. We never could have done this without so much support from the Kidlit community.

It's an honor to be a part of a community that can come together to fight Islamophobia in this way. Let's keep the fight going and keep ALL the people hurt by terror attacks in our thoughts. <3

And another thank you to every single person who bid on the items or spread the word. There were so many people who donated extra money or donated in our name that just made us so emotional. 😭 Kidlit folks are really the best.

@PRationality Hi there! We're trying to get in touch with you regarding an auction item that you bid on! Could you give us a quick follow so we can DM you?

[Kidlit for Christchurch @KidlitForCC]

@thewindwarns Hi there, we just sent you a DM!

[Kidlit for Christchurch @KidlitForCC]

Hi folks! Apparently we've sent so many emails that Gmail has blocked us from sending any more for the next 1-24 hours. We will do our best to get responses and confirmations back to everyone as soon as we are able to!

[Kidlit for Christchurch @KidlitForCC]

@mariaselke Hi! Is it possible to DM about an auction item? Thanks so much!

[Kidlit for Christchurch @KidlitForCC]

@srjohannes Hi there! Our email still isn't going through, and wanted to send you a DM to clarify this. Any way that you can open up your DMs so we can send you a message?

[Kidlit for Christchurch @KidlitForCC]

@srjohannes Looking at the specific post, it looks like we got a final bid of $550 from someone else. I'm so sorry about that!

[Kidlit for Christchurch @KidlitForCC]

@srjohannes Hi Shelli! All bids after 11:59 PM were removed, as per the auction rules. It took us a second to get the posts down, so that's why we went back and make sure all comments were from 11:59 to make sure everything was fair. :)

[Kidlit for Christchurch @KidlitForCC]

@apleewrites Allison, I sent you an email. :)

[Kidlit for Christchurch @KidlitForCC]

Hi all! If you'd like to match the final bid donation of $1300 in order to get that full manuscript critique + call from @kurestinarmada, please send us a tweet or DM and we will be in touch.

[Kidlit for Christchurch @KidlitForCC]

@scotthurff Hi Scott! I just sent you an email. :)

Some of the messages on your payments are making us cry! Thank you everyone who made a bid, won, nearly won, retweeted, replied, liked, or just got involved. Emails will be coming in the morning (US time) with more information. #kidlitforchristchurch
