🚨Six people killed in Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon, including two children and their parents, Lebanon’s National News Agency reports.

▪️ In a village near Kfar Tebnit, an Israeli strike killed two children and their parents.
▪️ In the Nabatieh area, another attack killed a village mayor and his wife.
▪️ Earlier, two Israeli airstrikes on the road to Beirut–Rafik Hariri International Airport killed 3 more people and injured six others, according to Lebanon’s Health Ministry.

I am heartbroken and appalled by the U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran, including reports that a girls’ school in southern Iran was hit, resulting in the injury and death of many girls. The killing of civilians, especially children, is unconscionable, and I condemn it unequivocally.

Today’s military strikes on Iran — carried out by the United States and Israel — mark a catastrophic escalation in an illegal war of aggression. Bombing cities. Killing civilians.
