people don’t realize how miserable it is being a low bmi. you can’t work. you can barely shower. barely brush ur teeth or hair. life is 1000x harder. im LUCKY i made it out of it. a lot of people haven’t lived to say the same. be grateful you’re in an able body.
I hate being tired after work. I hate not having energy to do things, and there is no amount of taking vitamins or eating healthy etc that can make up for the fact that working is an exhausting experience.
Trabajar 7 u 8 horas al día para llegar a casa y tener apenas 4 horas de tiempo personal y descanso, contando incluso el tiempo que necesitas para preparar el día siguiente, se siente profundamente injusto y triste.
Nothing will ever convince me that being 12 years old, sitting on the floor of your bedroom, listening to music on a tiny CD player while flipping through a magazine wasn’t one of the most peaceful eras of human civilization.
I think one of the saddest things about modern childhood is the loss of cartoons as inheritance. I grew up watching Scooby-Doo reruns decades after it first aired. Kids today have more content than ever, but perhaps less shared cultural inheritance across generations.
AUTISTIC TRAITS PEOPLE DON’T TALK ABOUT ENOUGH:
overexplaining because you’re terrified of being misunderstood.
finding lying incredibly difficult, even when a tiny lie would make things easier.
sleeping terribly because your brain refuses to shut down.
rewatching the same comfort show until you practically know every line.
hating the feeling of being watched or perceived.
having an extremely strong sense of fairness and struggling when something feels deeply unjust.
there are so many autistic experiences that never make it into the usual list.
I still can't believe humans were gifted a planet full of trees, fruits, water, wildlife, sunshine and then they invented debt, capitalism, war and AI.
I have an appointment at 2pm.
It is currently 9am.
Can I start another task? No.
Can I go anywhere? Absolutely not.
Can I relax? Also no.
Apparently my only responsibility until 2pm is to wait for 2pm.
Please tell me other people do this.
VERY annoying that we realize children need a summer break and several vacations a year because they attend school, but we think it makes sense for adults to work 40 hours a week all year and probably get 2–3 weeks off in a whole year if you’re lucky.
No animal on earth knows what a Monday is.
No plant. No ocean. No nervous system in nature. The week doesn’t exist. You’ve been exhausted by something that was never real.
Some autistic traits don’t get talked about enough: intense empathy, motion sickness, collecting things without ever using them, accidentally listening in on conversations, perfectionism, imaginary friends, heightened sensitivity, being unusually accepting of others, insomnia, and caring way more deeply than people realize.
