To really set foot into the music industry in Europe, they'd probably have to aquire parts of a giant in Germany like Sony, Warner Music, Universal, BMG. Which the big 4 wouldn't let them do

Europe is EXPENSIVE. Lots of EU-wide laws to protect employees, making them some of the most expensive workforce with at least 20 paid days off (30 is more common) including paid maternity leave, 50% Healthcare paid by employer etc
