Pleasure to meet with Ms Nouzha Alaoui, the Secretary-General of Foundation for the Safeguarding of Cultural Heritage of Rabat. We agreed to strengthen our ongoing collaboration to protect cultural heritage in #Morocco and beyond and discussed the importance of culture education.

Productive meeting with Mr Patrick Delatour, Director of the Institut de Sauvegarde du Patrimoine National de la République d’Haïti. We discussed the importance of raising the next generation of heritage experts and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities through culture.

.@UNESCO hosted experts from 14 countries to reinforce climate adaptation for cultural heritage, as part of an initiative by Ministry of Culture of #France. As El Niño rages on, we must urgently integrate culture in climate plans. Sharing experiences and practical methods is key.

As the @UNESCO Executive Board begins, I welcomed Ambassador Hajo Sani, who serves as Chair of the Programme and External Relations Commission. We agreed that this session is a key moment to demonstrate how the Culture Sector delivers #ForThePeople through cross-sectoral action.

A wonderful event by #Indonesia, filling @UNESCO with the sounds of xylophones. It was a celebration of how cultural practices are shared, even across oceans: Kolintang from Indonesia and Balafon from Mali, Burkina Faso and Côte d'Ivoire. #LivingHeritage brings us together.

موقف بطولي وقدرات احترافية عالية لكوادر مديرية الدفاع المدني والغطاسين في العقبة @JoCivilDefense، الذين نجحوا في العثور على القدم المبتورة للمواطن المصري🇪🇬 مصطفى عوف وانتشالها من البحر في وقت قياسي، ما مكّن فريق طبي أردني🇯🇴 محترف في الخدمات الطبية الملكية ومستشفى عبدالهادي من التعامل مع الحالة ، وإجراء عملية إعادة زراعتها بنجاح، رغم تعقيدها، في إنجاز طبي متقدم يجسد الخبرة والكفاءة العالية والبعد الإنساني العميق.

قصة أعادت الأمل والابتسامة إلى هذا الشقيق المصري، وجسّدت أسمى معاني الإنسانية والتضامن والتآخي بين #الأردن🇯🇴 و #مصر🇪🇬.

بين البلدين الشقيقين قصص إنسانية راسخة، وأخوة تتجسد في المواقف، وعطاء متبادل يعكس عمق العلاقات التاريخية التي تجمعهما، والتي تحظى برعاية وحرص ودعم جلالة الملك عبدالله الثاني وأخيه فخامة الرئيس عبدالفتاح السيسي، حفظهما.

شاركت في ورشة العمل المشتركة التي جمعت شركات السياحة الأردنية والسورية، والتي نظّمتها هيئة تنشيط السياحة الأردنية في العاصمة دمشق، في إطار تعزيز التعاون الثنائي السياحي بين البلدين الشقيقين، وتوحيد الجهود بهدف تقديم الأردن وسوريا كوجهة سياحية واحدة. الورشة خطوة مهمة نحو تكامل حقيقي في القطاع السياحي، بين الأردن وسوريا.

I met with the Ambassador of #Djibouti 🇩🇯, who will chair a consultation on creativity in the digital environment, as well as the next committee of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions Convention. I reiterated @UNESCO's support as he guides discussions on this important topic.

I had the pleasure of welcoming the delegation from #China to prepare for the @UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Committee. I wish to thank Mr GAO Zheng, Vice-Minister of Culture and Tourism and the Chairperson of the upcoming session in Xiamen, for his continued dedication.
