@MKBHD YouTube premium makes YouTube the ultimate background to throw on your TV. Ad free lo-fi in the background, long form video essays while editing, etc.
@ManyATrueNerd I have 0 doubt of your interest and your known interestof the people in Morrowind.
I vote BG3 every time to make sure it stays firmly on the books as something we want to see
@ManyATrueNerd You got about an hour to spend on a wonderful detailed video? Because I got a YouTuber for you to check out if you want an interesting answer..
@PanthersCulture This tweet is more bait than the survey π
We all know being liked and being good at ANY job is not hand in hand. Everyone's had that one guy that was a better friend than coworker lol
@_PhilStern@ManyATrueNerd Here here to that. Also probably why copying mechanics matter less. If you got to it first and did it well it'll shine past the others.
@_PhilStern@ManyATrueNerd Nah I totally agree with you. I guess my main point to sts and Portal is that even if you copy the mechanics which are great and integral, it's the mix of those mechanics with the story/art/setting/etc. That's why games have copied sts mechanically but aren't as popular
@_PhilStern@ManyATrueNerd Slay the spire has many similar card like clone games and I'd say how they handle the mechanics make that game fun. The art work and everything else make that game memorable. Portal is known for it's mechanics as much as "the cake is a lie" because the story was interesting too
@ManyATrueNerd To me the beauty of BG3 is the answer is whatever it is you want. It's solely dependent on how you plan to play and just how seriously you want to take the game.
Truly you can get away with quite a lot and even re-spec things if need be
@MKBHD I know you're not a gamer but ask any of em you work with and they'll tell you this is just a "strategy" that gaming companies have been pulling for a while now....
And we don't love it either.
@ManyATrueNerd I'd say it's more early game vs late game. If you stick with a character idea and roleplay, focus on let's say being really good at thieving, then by lvl 10+ the dynamic of skill checks pays off
Dying Light 2 is a game about how a parkour enthusiast injected with radioactive honey became the greatest superhero in the post-apocalypse. Or something very close to that.

But seriously the only way to guarantee meaningful positive change in the next 365 days around the sun is to exit your comfort zone and relentlessly attack your goals. Thatβs my plan, anyway. Good luck and Happy New Year ππΎ
