@dushtaa @Uber Unless the timer hits 5 minutes, there's no way you can be charged. So at LEAST 5 minutes minimum had passed - u need to b toes to the curb, ready & waiting 4 your @uber when requesting a ride. If you're not ready & you take 5+ minutes, you're charged. Drivers' time isn't free.

Simple. @uber is pretty awful but on this point I have to side with them. Drivers should be compensated for their time, gas, wear&tear on car, etc.

@lukebayer @Uber @Uber_Support Unfortunately traffic means additional time getting 2 pickup locations. Drivers have no control over that. The only time drivers get a $3.50 cancellation fee (@uber keeps $1.50) is when rider hasn't shown up after 5 minutes. Don't order @uber until you're 100% ready to go.#growup
