At various fora, late Buhari insisted that he is not going to write a book. I believe this is not an ordinary say but a will. Now that he is late, some members of his family are defiling such will by granting interviews about his life intended for book publications. A book which many alleges that it tarnishes the reputation of the late former President.

At this moment, I must give kudos to Yusuf Buhari because there is no any place where his name appears as interviewee in that book. I strongly believed as the only male child, Yusuf must have declined their request, as a mark of respect to his father's view and will even after his death.

Earlier this week, I joined the BBC World Service to discuss the recent unfortunate attacks in Nigeria.

I stressed that Nigeria’s problem is not a lack of intelligence or information on security threats, but rather limited capacity to respond - too few personnel, poor mobility and slow reinforcement times.

For Western partners that say they want to help, including the United States, the priority should be to listen to Nigeria about its needs, rather than assuming they know better Nigeria what those needs are.

If Nnamdi Kanu deserves to spend the rest of his life in prison, then the Ambassador of Peace, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, the Mufti of Nigeria, deserves a national honour from the Federal Republic of Nigeria. His contributions to national stability are undeniable. We have all seen how he engages directly with security challenges right in front of the Army, Police, and other security agencies. Sheikh Gumi has never been arrested or indicted for any terrorism-related offence. He is clean.
