Spurs' summer outs, ranked purely by emotion and how much they actually hurt. Twelve players gone, £150m+ recouped, and a squad that barely resembles the one that won us a trophy. One word per exit. Then the argument. 🧵 @SpursOfficial#THFC#COYS
@pokeefe1@Efflixus So what is the full story? No one seems to be certain but people piling on judgement. The energy this weeks has been worrying. So much negativity. On x at least
@JimOhSoSpurs For me, supporting the club is being part of a family. Coming together with a common passion and sharing the good and bad times. Sometimes it’s a challenge, made harder by those who lose hope and feel beyond frustrated. But we are still a family
@footballconfid1 He exists purely as a troll. Some people want that but those of us who don’t need to ignore him/them. Don’t share or talk about them. Trolls get pleasure from putting people down and spreading negativity and hate. They feed off attention.
@joe3wpw Richarlison asked to leave. He doesn’t want to be at the club but also hasn’t found a new club/contract he’s happy with. Our squad list is full (with players who prefer to stay). There are no villains here.
@jessewassup Scarlett? When did he ever show the levels needed? Great kid and I wish him the best, but what is going on?
You really lost me at Bissouma. What balloons have you been huffing?
Keep the faith.
@NickTriani Didn't DZB say a few weeks back he'd ask to leave? Then again confirmed it a week ago?
The club allowed him to find a club and replaced him. The Everton deal collapsed, but he's still able to find a club, and it looks like he's going to Turkey. No need for villains. Move on.
@laffythfc Most of our wingers can play comfortably on both flanks. Kudus, Marmoush, and Fernandes are all comfortable at 10. The CMs plus Gray can all interchange. These depth charts don't tell half the story.
@JimmyTheBrummie Haven’t Tottenham generated more than 1 billion more than Aston Villa in that time? I know it averages close to 200m per season.
That’s a pretty key stat missing.
@HotspurLane Talk Sport's whole concept is to react fast and loud to rumours and gossip. It lives off clickbait and harsh, deeply opinionated presenters who have a low EQ and are only interested in swift condemnation, with little interest in context or in treating people with humanity.
@footballconfid1 It depends on whether you judge the signing by the fee or purely by the player. Savio could be a nominee for best or worst, depending on whether you factor in the cost.
@ben_bowman_ Tonali and MGB play different positions/roles. If there was a choice it was more likely Fernandes or MGB, and for me, it's Fernandes all the way.
@behindszy@hayforhayley When was it ever Tonali or Gibbs-White? Two completely different midfield styles operating in different areas of the field.
It's fun to run with the gossip and debate the 'what ifs', but these condemning conclusions and narratives aren't balanced or helpful.
@Lilywhite_Rose Strange one. Spurs must be seething. BUT it's not a foregone conclusion that Curd will take and keep the no.1. Doesn't seem like Gunter has done much wrong, and it may be a case that they get to fight it out fairly. Healthy competition may be good for Gunter
@White_Hart_Live We have a bloated squad and need to find the balance and harmony to help the team grow together. I get they we are all transfer addicts but we don’t need more transfers right now, we need patience and games.
