Hi Friends. Libby Coyner and I presented at SAA 2012 (with our friends Verne Harris and Stephanie Kays) on tattoos as personal archives. We are currently working on a book based on the same concept and are including a chapter of archival worker stories about their tattoos. 1/3
@archiveslas @ArtistArchivist @wendyaleasha @esmsedinburgh I did some quick maths and if the job paid in line with the 27k annual salary for an archivist, minus 13 weeks then it should still be north of 20k. Obviously ignoring the fact of what said archivist is meant to do for those 13 un/derpaid weeks...

The FORMER Jack the Ripper Museum in the East End is now on sale for £685,000.
I'd love to see this building become a centre to assist homeless women. It would be the ultimate triumph.

#WhereYouStarted#Archive30 I didn't even really know being an archivist was a career until my third year of undergrad! Luckily on my year abroad I got an internship at Strasbourg Archives and was hooked. Thanks to Mdm Clementz @unistra for setting me on the archive path.
@FredRAlexander @fionaisobelhall I still love a bit of aerial photography, don't get so much in a bank archive! And not forgetting @archi_niamh of course, the first digital projects team member!
I think we should all take a moment to remember those archivists who, when the PRO went up in flames in 1922, quietly bundled up the charred fragments of our history in the hope that a brighter, better future might make something of them. @NARIreland#Archives#Heritage#History
A Black woman did this. She did Basquiat justice. Michael Stewart justice. Discovered art history. Was the first Black curator to curate a show at one of the most racist museums in the country. With one hand tied behind her back. And she still killed it.
