They want to mine radioactive material at the headwaters of one of Montana’s cleanest rivers.

Then truck it out on public roads, through the small towns along the way.

There's already a place nearby with the same minerals in it: the Berkeley Pit in Butte, a Superfund site, one of the most polluted places in the country, so contaminated the federal government had to step in to manage it. They're skipping it. Going after untouched forest instead.

U.S. Critical Materials wants a rare earth mine in the headwaters of the Bitterroot River. Water nearly 49,000 people in Ravalli County depend on.

This land is a grizzly bear migration corridor. Conservation groups call it "Broadway for grizzly bears."

Their plan requires reporting a grizzly, lynx, or wolverine sighting to the Forest Service. It doesn't say what happens after that. But under Montana's own wildlife policy, a bear that keeps coming back to a site like this, after non-lethal attempts to scare it off fail, can legally be killed.

The Trump administration just rewrote the Endangered Species Act so habitat destruction may not even legally count as "harm" anymore.

700 people packed a meeting to stop this. Their own Republican Congressman and Senator asked the federal government to slow down. Ravalli County's own commissioners voted for the same thing.

None of it worked. The company shrank its paperwork enough to dodge the review that would've forced them to answer for any of it.

The company's own website calls the thorium levels "negligible." A local ecologist who's spent years tracking the data on this site says that's not true.

The company moved its headquarters to Darby and called it a "permanent commitment" to the community. Locals say the office sits empty.

Here's what is known: an executive order called "Immediate Measures to Increase American Mineral Production," created by the Trump administration, established the fast-track list this project landed on.
Permitting used to take 29 years. Emily Domenech, the Trump appointee now running that fast-track program, has said openly that gutting that 29-year timeline is the entire point.

Would you trust a company's word that radioactive material is "negligible," knowing it would travel through water tens of thousands of people rely on?

Paige O'Donnell of Palm City, Florida turned her house into a feces covered nightmare for 36 Border Collies. Neighbors complained for years. Deputies finally forced their way in and found dogs so filthy they blended into the garbage. Mats the size of apples. Metal and glass stuck in their fur. Some barely moving.

She faces 72 charges. One felony animal torture and one confinement charge for every dog. Bond set at $270,000. The Humane Society calls it the worst case they have ever seen.

This is pure evil. Anyone who lets living creatures rot in filth like that deserves the full weight of the law. Those dogs trusted a human and got torture instead.

Justice is coming. Pray the dogs recover.

Violent crime OUT OF CONTROL in Flint, Michigan

A woman's house was just shot up with more than 50 bullets from a drive-by shooting. The police never showed up despite being called MULTIPLE times.

When the woman called the mayor's office for help, they responded saying, "Ain't nothing the mayor can do about it. He's not God."

This is the same city where days earlier, two teens were gunned down during a teen takeover.

People are being terrorized with nonstop violence, and the police are nowhere to be found.

This young mechanic is warning “listen before you try to work as a mechanic” hit hard.

In his story he explains how pay is now garbage, you have to start with your own $40,000 set of tools and your hours get cut. You then work on cars that are impossible to diagnose.

My late uncle Jack sold his shop 20 years ago for the exact same reason. Cars were becoming too complicated for old-school wrenchers like him. He saw it coming.

What’s happening now isn’t accidental. There’s a clear push to force every repair through the dealership. They load these cars with proprietary electrical systems, modules, and computers that require manufacturer-specific tools, software subscriptions, and certifications just to diagnose.

That barrier costs a fortune. Independent shops can’t keep up with the tool prices, the training, the locked-down diagnostics. So the mom-and-pop places that used to keep your car running for a fair price get squeezed out. Customers get funneled to the dealer where the labor rates are higher and the incentive is often to sell more work (or a new car).

This isn’t progress. It’s control of the aftermarket. Right-to-repair exists on paper in some places, but the practical reality is that modern vehicles are designed to be opaque to anyone without the factory key.

Uncle Jack saw the writing on the wall two decades ago. The kid in that TikTok is living it now. The skilled trades that built this country are being engineered out of the independent repair business, one locked module at a time.

Support the shops that still fight to stay independent. And push harder on actual right-to-repair that includes the software and tools, not just the parts.

🚨 ANIMAL CRUELTY CONVICTION: VICKY FOWLES, 44, FROM LOWESTOFT, SUFFOLK 🚨

Fowles was convicted of cruelty to six Chihuahua‑type dogs found dead inside a property on Rotterdam Road, #lowestoft. The tiny pets had suffered for weeks without food, water or human contact.

An estate manager entered the house Fowles was due to vacate and found it in an “atrocious condition” — dog mess across the ground floor, an overwhelming stench, and the bodies of multiple dogs hidden inside the home and garden shed.

A vet confirmed that all six dogs died due to prolonged starvation and dehydration, with additional signs of neglect including:

— Overgrown nails
— Psychological distress from isolation and deprivation
— Suffering lasting several weeks before death

RSPCA Inspector Kirby said: “It is heartbreaking to think that these poor dogs were just abandoned and left to suffer what would have been a harrowing death and that their deaths were completely unnecessary and avoidable.”

⚖ Sentence
— 12‑month prison sentence, suspended for two years
— Lifetime ban on keeping animals
— 20 rehabilitation activity days
— 12‑month mental health treatment requirement
— £300 costs + £187 victim surcharge

The offences took place between 10 February and 4 April 2025.

Fowles admitted responsibility, citing alcohol addiction and a deteriorating lifestyle. But six dogs still died alone, starving, hidden in bags and baskets, with no one coming to help them. Heartbreaking and unforgiveable.

🚨 BREAKING: This week the American Academy of Pediatrics — the group that shapes the childhood vaccine schedule — told the country it's "neutral."

Their words: "we go by science, not politics."

So I pulled their tax records. Here's who actually pays them..

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) runs on ~$138 MILLION a year.

Its corporate "partners" — $50,000+ donors — include the vaccine makers themselves:
Pfizer, Merck, Moderna, Sanofi.

On one AAP COVID-19 vaccine policy, the science outlet Undark found 9 of 16 committee members had taken money from vaccine manufacturers.

The published guideline said: "no potential conflicts."

9 of 16. They wrote "none."

And this isn't unique to the AAP — it's the pattern.

Peer-reviewed, JAMA Internal Medicine (2018): 57% of authors of clinical guidelines for high-revenue drugs had financial ties to the makers — and 1 in 4
payments were undisclosed.

The science documents the conflict of interest.

The AAP doesn't just take the money — it lobbies.

It keeps a full-time, four-person federal lobbying team and reported ~$789,000 in lobbying in a single quarter of 2026.

Ask why a "neutral" group of children's doctors needs its own lobby shop.

Same playbook, different drug.

AAP's 2023 childhood obesity guidelines urged doctors to consider weight-loss drugs for kids. 10 of the authors had taken money from those drug companies.

Disclosed in the guideline? No.

In 2011 the Gates Foundation paid the AAP $1,419,200 — in the Foundation's own words — "to organize and facilitate immunization education and advocacy
efforts among pediatricians."

Paid to advocate.

Why it matters: in 1986, Congress shielded vaccine makers from most lawsuits.

Since then a federal program has paid ~$5.5 BILLION for vaccine injuries (HRSA).

The makers are protected. The group promoting the schedule takes their money.

The question every parent deserves answered: is the group that calls itself "neutral" being paid by the companies that profit from the schedule?
