@dgwbirch Maintaining that wallet across all devices and throughout your lifetime (and beyond) requires persistant encrypted storage that doesn't depend on the continued existence of some corporation or the policy of a state. Blockchains provide an basis for this. Your alternative?
@ambercazzell@identitybear@jamie247@marttimalmi@Kim_Cameron They can self assert attributes but they will also hold multiple credentials from various sources. There's no artifact called an "identity". Relationships & credentials are what people use to prove things about themselves. These in total are the identity, under person's control.
@ntouk I very much hope that citizen-owned identities (Decentralized Identities) that allow people to present government-issued claims when they choose to do so will be on the agenda during this discussion.
@Darkrumwithcoke@randyhillier@HydroOne I need some Dark Rum with Coke right about now. I have no idea how to light a fire under @HydroOne. It has a corporate culture unlike any other I have encountered. They seem to take "There's a sucker born every minute" to a new extreme...
@OntEnergyBoard What kind of regulation is it that allows Hydro One to schedule reconnection of my power 14 days after the trees that had knocked out power had been cleared? What kind of a power company can treat customers this way?
@HydroOne I am really appalled that once a fallen tree had been cleared HydroOne is leaving me without power for a further two weeks! Isn't a complete power outage an emergency? Two weeks for scheduling repair to a line is outrageous - a real monopoly. What a corporation!
