@citizentvkenya 2022 saw US Feds increase their interests rates at 0.75bps in a period of 4 consecutive months making the lending power for all banks to be weak. So in my opinion if only we could take care of the economy, then what's the need of KDIC? Or it boils down to speculative motives?

@citizentvkenya Just like JP Morgan acquiring First Republic Bank assets after it collapsed last year May. And both First Republic and Silicon Valley didn't close just because of the fixed deposits being withdrawn by their customers, there was a major underlying issue all over the US economy.
