FWIW, 96%+ of child care subsidy payments are found to be valid. While not entirely dispositive for illegal fraud, it's really not a feeding frenzy at the child care trough out there, I'm sorry to report.

It's important to understand that the U.S. child care system is widely distributed -- when you delay subsidy payments nationally over unnecessary administrative steps or questionable accusations, you're harming half the system, including programs serving a ton of families that have never touched subsidy to begin with!
