Finally had the incredible experience of loading and firing rounds from a WW1 Lee Enfield. That recoil gives a kick and a half! Attempting the mad minute? (15 precision shots in one minute) Impossible. I couldn't hold and reload for that long! Hats off again to those men. X

Back on the Somme today. Here at Serre Road No.2 Cemetery. Very quiet on the battlefields at the moment. Enjoying the one on one time with clients and having the time to explore a bit more than usual. 🙂

I've always been a gamer, so finding another Great War related game is pretty exciting. War Hospital puts you in charge of a WW1 field hospital. Very interesting as it really helps you understand the challenges and difficulties they were faced with.

Last week saw the temperatures in the minus. I LOVE guiding in this weather. We all wrap up, ice is sparkling on the stones, and a nice pot of hot coffee in the van. Those blue skies made it all so much more beautiful.
