Remembering Glyndwr David Evans today on ANZAC Day. Born in my hometown of Treorchy, moved to Australia at the age of 2 and killed during an accident near Hill 60, on ANZAC Day, in preparation for the Battle of Messine. His brother would name his son after him in 1918. #AnzacDay
One week on from embarking on my Verdun tour and very much in the camp if wanting to still be there. Had an incredible exploring this sacred battlefield with so much more to see, I will be back.
@MG_1962_73@sommecourt Thank you Michel, to be able to walk that sacred turf and pay my respect to those brave soldiers was a real privilege. ๐ซ๐ท๐ฏ๏ธ
Hi @sommecourt, I know you're into your photography and was just looking for your honest opinion of this photo I took of Douaumont Oussary and the national cemetery yesterday and any areas I could improve on?
@ChristinaNoyes8@GreatWarDigital The path connecting Driant initial burial place by the Germans and Beaumont was quite wet indeed, lost count the amount of times I nearly lost my boots.
