A major milestone in public health just arrived. The introduction of H.R. 7602, the State of Men’s Health Act, marks a bold federal commitment to improving men’s health outcomes and tackling disparities that have persisted for decades. The AUA is honored to have played a key role in shaping this legislation and supporting the creation of a new Office of Men’s Health, which will coordinate nationwide efforts to improve awareness, prevention, and care.

A big shoutout to Congressman @RepTroyCarter and @RepGregMurphy for introducing and supporting this monumental bill. This is a turning point, and we’re proud to be part of it. #AUAAdvocacy

For day two of #AUASummit25, we took to Capitol Hill to fight for policies that protect patients and support urologic care - tackling prior authorization, workforce shortages, drug access, and Medicare cuts. Advocacy works, together, we're driving real change for urology patients and providers!

We had a wide ranging discussion on healthcare and politics, specifically regarding Medicare physician payment reform and prior authorization.

Very important talk at the #auasummit25 by @kvnkoo about the harm that #priorauthorization causes in #urology.
Prior authorization requires urologists to talk to non-urology practitioners to get standard care approved, delays care, and increases healthcare costs.
