@Chris_D_Brewer @mc4chess Yea fair, I still lean defer unless gassed defense is a thing. It almost seems to force the team that goes 2nd to do more of the right stuff that teams naturally should do but don’t (make niners maybe take bad kick, go for it 4th and 1 own 34 when might not have otherwise lol)

@Chris_D_Brewer @mc4chess Maybe its not, but i just feel its deeper than just the forced field goal by niners, and the 4th and 1 at own 34 by chiefs. When chiefs had 2nd and 13 they know they have 4 downs it affects each play and i think their playcalling wouldve been a lot different if not for 4 downs

@Chris_D_Brewer @mc4chess Yea true, Chiefs should be more aggro those spots with respect to trying to avoid sudden death, who knows if they would. So many things happened in this sim that benefitted Chiefs going 2nd. When thinking about the play calling changes each down idk if matching scores competes

@Chris_D_Brewer @mc4chess Pretty sure the parlay of fg fg fg is way too rare when comparing it to all the decision trees you benefit from knowing what you need to do 2nd. Td td doesnt count because Chiefs should go for 2. Also can be more aggro to prevent fg fg. Each play design also better when 4 downs

Something else not talked about much. The excitement of going deep in a tournament is the rare time for a player to care about things beyond just the money we play for. Its pretty special to have those feelings when the majority of the time its just the money.

We get reminded that we can only control so much and had a horrible 8 hour stretch of bad cards but I’m sure I had great run of cards before that. Either way I have no regrets and just can’t wait for another chance like that. Thanks for all the texts and support. 2/2

Reflecting back on my main event run after the pain of busting has worn off a bit. Truly an incredible experience to run that deep, the feeling of all the support is an amazing adrenaline rush. When i hit 16.5 million chips i felt this was it, but poker can be a humbling game.1/2
