Hello fellow car enthusiasts, can we please stop normalising horsepower inflation? 😭

Somehow 300 hp is now considered “average,” 400–500 hp is “not that fast,” 600 hp is becoming normal, and people casually talk about 800–1,000 hp like it’s nothing.

How did we get here? 😂

There was a time when 300 hp in the right car felt properly fast. You felt the acceleration. You respected the throttle. You didn’t need four-digit horsepower figures to have fun.

Now you see a 500 hp car and someone will immediately say, “Yeah, but it could use more power.”

More power is great, but when 700 hp starts feeling normal, we’ve definitely lost some perspective.

Honestly, give me 300–400 hp, a great chassis, good steering and a proper gearbox and I’m having more fun than I need.

Not every car needs 800 hp. 😭
