I sat down with Khun Tipsuda Thavaramara, one of the most important figures in the history of Thailand’s capital market. She is the Former Deputy Secretary-General of the Thai SEC.
For people who are not familiar with this title, this is basically the second highest leadership position inside the Thai SEC.
She joined the Thai SEC in its second year, and stayed there for 26 years.
She climbed through the organization until she became Deputy Secretary-General.
She was one of the key people behind Thailand’s capital market development.
She helped push forward Thailand’s derivatives law, helped create TFEX, Thailand Futures Exchange, and later also helped push forward Thailand’s digital asset and crypto regulation since 2018.
In this episode, we talked about the history of the Thai SEC, TFEX, derivatives law, ICOs, digital asset licenses, crypto regulation, RWAs, market malpractice, and the real job of a regulator.
What I really enjoyed about this conversation is that it is not just about law.
It is about how regulators think.
How they balance innovation and investor protection.
How they deal with bad actors.
And why being a regulator is much harder than most people think.
If you want to understand how Thailand built its capital market and became one of the most advanced countries in digital asset regulation, this episode is for you.

I sat down with Poom @ApeWAGMI , Founder and CEO of @Tokenomist_ai .
Tokenomist is one of the leading tokenomics data companies in the world.
What I really enjoyed about this conversation is that it is not just about tokenomics.
It is about how to build a real startup.
We talked about:
• His Founders' journey
• How Token Unlocks got traction so fast
• Tokenomics
• Why tokenomics data is much harder to gather than most people think
• Fundraising lessons
• Business lessons
• Product
• GTM and Customer acquisition
• Competitor landscape in data business
• Business model of tokenomist
• How to build a great team culture
This is one of those episodes that is useful not only for crypto people, but also for founders, operators, product people, and anyone interested in building a serious company from zero.
Glad to have moderated a session at Southeast Asia Blockchain Week @SEABWofficial on:
What Institutions Need Before They Trust Digital Assets: Tokenisation, Custody, Control, and Cross Border Confidence
Had a great conversation with Rashu Jindel from @talostrading , Marco Cora from @zksync Foundation, Daniel Lee MBA LL.M CFtP from @CactusCustody and Aldwin Andikko from @BitGo on custody, institutional trust, tokenisation, and what still needs to be built before digital assets can scale with institutions.
Funny enough, our session happened right after the TripleS concert.
First, I was not sure if people were ready to go from concert mode straight into serious institutional digital assets mode. But I was really happy to see the audience stay engaged throughout the discussion.
Big thank you to SEABW for the opportunity.
Proud to be one of the judges for Play to Build: AI Hackathon at Southeast Asia Blockchain Week @SEABWofficial 2026.
Even more grateful to be judging alongside many respected people
@0xryankim from @hashed_official
Chanakarn Muangmangkhang from @scb_thailand
Jun Beom Lee from @0xShardLab
Hargobind Singh Chawla from @BitkubOfficial
One cool thing about this hackathon was that all ideas were welcome.
It did not have to be only about crypto or blockchain. It could be anything creative using AI.
That made the pitches much more fun to watch.
The teams only had 24 hours to build everything
Congratulations to the winners:
🥇 1st Place: BEBRIDGE, Project RWANDA
🥈 2nd Place: Team Laralab, FeedAI
🥉 3rd Place: Predict Sea, AstroNeko
Big thanks to SEABW and @rachel_sakim for having me as part of the judging panel, and huge respect to every builder who showed up, built fast, and grind all the way here
