Climate resilience should not exclude funding research and tech that will exponentially scale human adaptation for our changing environment - just like we have used Mendelian methods to change crops to support global consumption, we can also increase adaptational vigour in ourselves.

It’s the survival of the fittest and we shouldn’t leave out this tool in our kit.

It's like a perfectly lax leash on a dog: loose enough to allow exploration and the dog "to dog", but also not too loose to pull it back from danger, or too tight that it becomes a source of anxiety for the dog. The closed component provides safety rules and core stability, while the open component allows grassroots adaptation and innovation.
