What makes Bitcoin special? What are you buying when you buy Bitcoin?
- You are buying sound money in the form of digital property .
- Your property ownership rights, if you hold your private keys, sign your digital property verifying that you are the owner. It is logged on a cryptographically immutable ledger, consensus enforced, on the most resilient, secure , decentralized network that the world has ever known. That makes it special.
- It cannot be silently taxed via inflation. I.e. it cannot be inflated away due to a programmatically enforced monetary policy. The policy enforces a max 21 million coin supply. True scarcity. That makes it special.
- You are getting your piece of digital property that consists of 2.1 quadrillion bits that make up the 21 million coins. More than enough liquidity for 8 billion Earthlings, but it can't be printed out of thin air by a central authority. There is no central authority in Bitcoin, only source code run by nodes. That makes it special.
- The monetary policy is predictable until 2140 with an incentive structure put in place to entice miners to mine thus securing the network. That makes it special.
- The fact that the monetary policy is deflationary, via a halving schedule programmatically enforced , makes it special.
- It has the network effect of being the first digital coin that actually worked , solved the Byzantine General's problem and is still going, and was decentralized worldwide before it could be stopped.
That makes it special.
- The current block size makes it so the entire block chain can be downloaded and run on your own node. That makes it special.
- The fact that there is a massive bounty out for someone to be able to hack it....and its never been hacked, makes it by definition, the most secure network in the world. That along with its ~17k decentralized nodes also makes it unable to be co-opted by any government, company, or the uber rich. That makes it special.
- The fact that it has run for 15 years with 99.9999% uptime makes it the most resilient network in the world. That makes it special.
Bitcoin is very very special. It has no venture capitalist backers, Satoshi created it, gifted it to the world and - walked away -. Satoshi was brilliant and visionary.
@SteveOnSpeed Musk creates value and is a trillionaire on paper.
It is politicians that are grifting millions ,insider trading , and selling out their country to another country that you should be worried about.
Tucker Carlson says he’s officially done supporting the Republican Party after 35 years.
Listen closely to how he ends it. That’s not a man quitting. That’s a man counting.
“There’s no chance I would support the Republican Party. Not going to support the Democratic Party. I don’t know what I’m going to do.”
“How could I, or any American voters, support a political party that’s not loyal to the United States, that puts the interests of a foreign country above those of its own citizens?”
“It’s not possible to vote for people like that. And I’m not going to.”
“I’ve been a consistent defender for 35 years of the Republican Party. I mean, very consistent defender. But there’s no defending this because it’s immoral.”
“And it’s exactly the opposite of what a political party in a democracy is charged with doing, which is representing its own voters, its own citizens, its own nation. And they’re not doing that.”
“So, no, I’m out. And if I’m out, then I think a lot of other people are out.”
If @SenWarren shared her $67M and lived on the $285K (itself a great salary) every public school teacher in her state could receive a $900 bonus and she would still make more than 3x the average salary of those teachers.

Tulsi Gabbard only:
• debunked the Russia‑collusion narrative
• exposed gain‑of‑function research
• called out the Biden‑era censorship collusion with social media
• dragged the entire U.S.-funded bioresearch ecosystem into public view
• and released the JFK, RFK, and MLK files the government buried for decades
All she needed was to tell us where the alien bodies are and she would’ve completed the set.
She just rewrote 60 years of American history, but yeah, no big deal. She’s no hero. Just another day at the office.
Remember that time Elon Musk offered to write a check to UN World Food Programme to end world hunger, and his only requirement was that every dollar be accounted for and itemized for the public to see.
And then the UN rejected his offer?
Remember that? I do.
Next time you want to attack the man for “hoarding wealth” while people go hungry…Remember he literally tried to give it away and the UN wouldn’t take it.
