REPORT: Ben Simmons is open to a long-term stay with the Kings, per @MarcJSpears.
“One thing he likes about Sacramento is… he’s never played in a small market and sometimes that’s a safer haven. You go to Sacramento, it’s about basketball. I’d put their fans up there with anyone in the world.”

@BeamNationFr Just guaranteed playing time so he can prove himself. Wouldn’t fit in Mike browns system for the offense and definitely wouldn’t fit with warriors offense
Ben Simmons:
More assists per game than
— Steph
— Bird
— Garland
— West
— Frazier
— Payton
More rebounds per game than
— Tatum
— Paolo
— McHale
— Marc
— Poeltl
More triple-doubles than
— MJ
— Rondo
— Havlicek
— Jimmy
— CP3
— KG
— Frazier
If Ben Simmons can rebound, defend, and playmake even close to the way he has during his NBA career, he'll do just fine in Sacramento. The Kings don't need scoring.
It's a very, very low bar. This team won 22 games last year. They need defenders. And this isn't going to impact Darius Acuff Jr.'s playing time.
You can pretty much plug and play Simmons anywhere on this team.
@CarmichaelDave Dave I’m a bit disappointed in you.. you’ve wanted this man in Sacramento for fucking years and you weren’t as excited as I thought you’d be lol I’d expected to see you on the YouTube stream going crazy but didn’t happen 🫠 lol
Yeah he was hurt. And mentally fried.
He’s been in three markets: LA, NYC, and PHI. This is a perfect marker for a comeback.
Also his career averages are 13/7/7 on 56% shooting and all defense guarding of 5 positions.
It’s a minimum deal.
@ALinCALI22 How can you be negative on this? We need a backup pg and he’s a great facilitator, plays defense and is 6’10 like come on and a vet minimum deal too with no risk with potential for high reward
