It is absolutely necessary to create a system that treats people equally under the law instead of discriminating and giving preferential treatment based on immutable characteristics like country of birth.

When no one else would lift a finger to help backlogged immigrants maintain their H4-EAD, Immigration Voice acted to fight the good fight. Today, the D.C. Circuit said we were right to do so and affirmed the legality of the #H4EAD program. Thank you - Sudarshana Sengupta and Anuj Dhamija for leading this effort to help an estimated half a million families stuck in the backlog. We are deeply grateful to our attorney Carl Goldfarb and the law firm Boies Schiller Flexner LLP for helping immigrant families to work and support their families while waiting for over 170 years of employment-based green card backlog. https://t.co/KB7W5y7RMr
I was happy to speak with Srini Kasarla earlier this week to discuss her concerns regarding immigration and green cards. I appreciated hearing her story and perspective on the United States’ legal immigration system.
The immigration system is broken for those who are trying to legally come to our country for a better way of life. It’s time to change this.
My legislation will be a win for all Americans as it will improve our inefficient immigration system which has contributed to illegal immigration over time.
Special thanks to @RepMcCormick@CongressmanRaja & @RepJayapal for introducing H.R.6542 – the Immigration Visa Efficiency and Security Act. We look forward to visiting the Hill next week to create awareness on why this critical bipartisan bill is necessary to pass this Congress.
Dec 3-5: Join us for Immigration Voice's Advocacy Event in Washington D.C.! Engage in 350+ Congressional Meetings to champion bipartisan solutions for the immigrants in the backlog. Gain insight & speak up for yourself & your family! Register at https://t.co/WGe56cz8St Password: 2821614665284910
It will not go without a reply that none of the tech, business ,or immigration advocacy groups—or even anyone other than members of Congress—even bothered to lift a finger to try to help. Yet they readily jump to hurt the people in the backlog to prevent #greencardequality.
3/3 We are looking at creating a new legal defense fund to sue any employer for human trafficking for all of the different forms of coercion we see them using on their workers every day.
2/3 If this Administration won’t do their part to help create a fairer visa bulletin, and if tech companies keep doing nothing to help immigrant workers, the next step the workers will make is to use all of their efforts and talent not to let any new person come to US on H-1B slavery system.
1/3 We get every excuse in the world on why this Admin won’t help us with the visa bulletin—even though none of those excuses ever apply to anyone else. If this does not get fixed ASAP, we will make sure people know that the #Bidenadministration is #proslavery @PressSec
Court ruling says: State Department has the complete authority to pick VB date which is not subject to judicial review.
The Judge ruled: DOJ (as “Defendant”) argued that “no legal consequence flows from the publication of the Visa Bulletin because USCIS makes final determinations with regard to specific applicants” and the Court agreed that “Defendants have convinced the Court that "rights or obligations" are not determined by these Visa Bulletins, and that no "legal consequences" flow from their issuance...
I have seen tech companies support 1) DACA; 2) no asylum transit ban; 3) parole programs; 4) refugee program — and pretty much every program you can imagine that does not actually help their main cadre of employees. Time to step up here and do the right thing. Do something!!

@ShriThanedar The Biden Administration can prioritize high skilled immigrants by allowing I-485 filing in October, promoting travel convenience and safeguarding against aging out of kids.
