Dear #BreastCancer survivors who have had axillary procedures- it is SAFE to have blood taken, and blood pressure measurements done, on that arm. It does not increase lymphoedema and it makes me cranky to see pts scared unnecessarily into painful leg/foot procedures.

@CochraneUK The caveat is: exclusion of participants compromises randomisation and leads to bias. Guidelines recommend performing both analyses in non-inferiority trials. Here, ITT failed to show non-inferiority which may be why data from PP analysis were not reported. #CochraneTrainees

@CochraneUK In non-inferiority trials, ITT can lead to false claims of non-inferiority: if A is in fact inferior to B, then including data from patients who crossed over to B can inflate the observed effect for A. Hence PP is often considered instead. #CochraneTrainees
