@FatherBrown2013 I worked with Jude on a number of shows and she’ll be much missed. She had a great sense of humour, literally wrote the book (well, informative Word document) on how to structure shows like FB and was a fierce advocate for writers’ rights. RIP.

Like many writers I got my first job on @BBCDoctors, back in 2006. Now that it's been cancelled it'll be punishingly hard for people to get that first break, especially disabled writers who were able to get onto the show via a BBC scheme in recent years.

@BBCDoctors And on the subject of disability, when I became disabled myself the team at Doctors managed to shift deadlines around so I was able to carry on working during the months I was in hospital, which was a real sanity lifeline. Not many places would do that.
