Following some of our telephone chats with the children today, it seems some of them are feeling anxious about what is going on in the world around them at the moment.
Take a look at the attached website and the story linked to it.

If you have tried to complete some learning today, had time with your family and got some fresh air and exercise, we are PROUD OF YOU! Don’t forget to tell us all about it!
We have had a fantastic time recreating the digestive system, we learnt about the journey of food through the stomach, small intestine and large intestine and finally... excretion. The children thoroughly enjoyed the experiment and gained lots of new knowledge! #inspiredlearning
Thank you to all of the children and parents that visited the KS2 ‘Homework Showcase’ yesterday afternoon. It was wonderful to see how proud all of the children were to show off their creations!
Mars class had a brrrrr-illiant morning collecting vocabulary, looking through different lenses to inspire their winter story writing #frosty#inspiration@janeconsidine
In our World Explorers after school club, we also learned that today is #WorldSightDay. We discussed how visual impairments would change the way we learn and our daily activities. The children then took turns in guiding their partner using their hands, words and signals #trust
Today we discussed the importance of talking for #WorldMentalHeathDay, the children showed a wonderful understanding of mental health issues and how these can affect people in their daily lives. I am so proud of them.
What a wonderful treat Juno class had today, one of the children very kindly brought in some bamboo for us to make our very own wish tree, celebrating the Japanese ‘Star Festival’. It is custom to write your wishes down and hang them on the bamboo outside your home #StarFestival
The children of Fairfields have made these beautiful flowers which will be displayed at the Calverton Church flower festival this weekend (5th-7th July). We hope you have time this weekend to make a visit and see the children’s work.
We went on an electricity hunt today, thinking about what our school day would be like without any of the electrical equipment we use! One thing we did find, is that we would get along just fine without desks 😂 #leanonme#TeamJuno
What a wonderful morning we are having at Warwick Castle! Year 2, 3 & 4 have been to the Great Hall, Time Tower and the Conquerors Fortress. We have had our lunch on the grass and look forward to the bird show next! #WarwickCastle#schooltrip
Juno class have had a wonderful morning designing and creating their own table group shields, this afternoon we will begin to look into our new topic, 1066, ready for our Warwick Castle adventure tomorrow! #engageday
A crafty afternoon for Helping Hands today with our new friends at the Stratford Residential home. Very special to see some real friendships developing now. #community#beatingheart
Our “Helping hands” club went into the local community today to read and chat to the residents of Stratford residential home. We are planning to make regular visits over the next few months. Lovely to see different generations smiling and communicating over books.
